John Glenn: "Growing up in Ohio you learn to size up a person by their character and that's why I'm supporting President Obama. He stood firm against the doubters and help rescue the auto industry. He's taken on big corporations and foreign powers when they threatened our jobs, our freedom, our way of life—and you know he means what he says: that's the Ohio way.

Charlie Crist Endorses Obama - GOP ‘Far To The Extreme Right’

As Republicans gather in Tampa to nominate Mitt Romney, Americans can expect to hear tales of how President Obama has failed to work with their party or turn the economy around.

But an element of their party has pitched so far to the extreme right on issues important to women, immigrants, seniors and students that they've proven incapable of governing for the people. Look no further than the inclusion of the Akin amendment in the Republican Party platform, which bans abortion, even for rape victims.

The truth is that the party has failed to demonstrate the kind of leadership or seriousness voters deserve.

N.A.A.C.P. Votes to Endorse Same-Sex Marriage

"The board of the N.A.A.C.P. voted to endorse same-sex marriage on Saturday, putting the weight of the country’s most prominent civil rights group behind a cause that has long divided some quarters of the black community."[1]

When leaders lead, especially on difficult social issues that demand the end of an injustice or the expansion of liberty, people will follow. The announcement Saturday that the NAACP passed a resolution supporting marriage equality is the most important sign yet that President Obama's public support of it had the power to change hearts and minds. Doug Blatt Endorses KP George for Congressional District 22

February 29, 2012

Dear Friends,

As many of you know, I have been sick off and on over the last few months. While I am feeling better now, I have been unable to campaign as much as I would like. Even though there are at least 3 months to go until the Democratic primary election, I have decided to withdraw from the Congressional District 22 race.

As I withdraw, I am asking each of you to support KP George for the Democratic nomination. He will need all the help he can get to beat Kesha Rogers. I hereby endorse KP George. Please join me by going out to www.KPGeorge.com and sign-up for his email list, volunteer to help his campaign, and donate. I have already signed up for his email list and had lunch with him today to offer my support. I will be following up with a donation.

Thanks for you support. Please forward this email to everyone you know in district 22.

Sincerely,
Doug Blatt

Bryan-College Station's 'The Eagle' Recommends a Vote for Bill White for Governor

Bryan-College Station's The Eagle Endorses Bill White for Governor:

Gov. Rick Perry, Republican vs. former Houston Mayor Bill White, Democrat

In the past 15 years or so, the election for governor hasn't been much of a race, but this year it is. Former Houston Mayor Bill is mounting the strongest Democratic challenge to Rick Perry since Perry became governor with the resignation of George W. Bush 10 years ago. Perry already has served longer as governor than anyone in Texas history, and it is time for his tenure to come to an end.

The Dallas Morning News: We recommend White for governor

The Dallas Morning News Endorses Bill White for Governor:

Rick Perry's campaign suggests that his cowboy swagger and his disdain for Washington, D.C. should be enough to convince voters that he's the leader Texas needs.

The state's longest-serving governor is so certain his tenure should be extended that Perry has glided through this re-election bid with an impervious air, shrugging off tough questions and offering few specifics. Trust me, Perry tells voters, I know what I'm doing.
