Al Green Endorses Vy Nguyen for State Representative

US CONGRESSMAN AL GREEN FORMALLY ENDORSES DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE VY NGUYEN FOR STATE REPRESENTATIVE OF HOUSE DISTRICT 26

March 22, 2012 - At a standing room only Breakfast Reception held by the Fort Bend Silver Democrats presenting State Representative Senfronia Thompson as its Honorary Speaker, US Congressman Al Green, Democrat of CD-9 announced his formal endorsement of Ms. Vy Nguyen, the presumptive Democratic nominee for State Representative of HD-26.

Congressman Green praised Ms. Nguyen’s background as a lawyer, law professor, small businesswoman and a working mom. The Congressman also praised her stand to fight for women's, children’s, and senior citizen's health care, restore the billions cut from public education and her effort to battle the Republican’s attack on women's reproductive rights and minorities' rights. Congressman Green believes with her enthusiasm and hard work Vy Nguyen can put together a strong diverse coalition to win in November 2012. Al Green is the first United States Congressman to endorse Vy’s candidacy.
