Fort Bend Democratic Party Endorses George

By DemAdmin - Posted on 13 March 2012

RICHMOND, TX. The Fort Bend County Democratic Party’s County Executive Committee (CEC) unanimously adopted a motion to support KP George in the race for the Democratic Nomination for Congressional District 22. George’s opponent is an avowed Lyndon LaRouche supporter who’s running on a platform to impeach President Barack Obama.

“The Party’s decision to formally endorse KP was bold, but needed to help drive the distinction between these two candidates,” stated Steve Brown, Fort Bend County Democratic Party Chairman. “Where KP’s focus is on working with the Administration to advance our economic recovery and promote foreign security, his opponent is solely focused on colonizing the moon and demeaning our President,” he added. “We’ve taken great strides to recruit an impressive slate of qualified and diverse local leaders. I want our focus to be on getting real Democrats elected in November, and carrying the county for President Obama. Not dealing with the distraction his opponent seeks to create,” he concluded.

The Party’s CEC is comprised of precinct chairs throughout Fort Bend County. There are no other candidates in the Democratic Primary for this position. For more information, please contact Brown at steve@fbcdp.org.
