Dear Democrat,

Barack Obama and Joe Biden will take office next month and we have earned the right to celebrate that fact. Many of us cannot attend the Inaugural balls in Washington, D.C., so Fort Bend Democrats has decided to sponsor a ball right here in Fort Bend.

Our ball at Sugar Creek Country Club will feature light snacks, a cash bar, live jazz music, dancing, a commemorative program for you to keep, silent and live auction items, and some very fancy Democrats – you! If you have a tux, wear it, but if you don’t, just wear your fanciest clothes! We will have a professionally-made banner and a life-size Barack Obama and Joe Biden for you to take distinctive photographs to remember this night forever!

Reservations are required. We have worked to keep the cost reasonable. If you buy your tickets online or mail your check by Monday, January 12th, the cost will be $35 a person. If you have reservations but decide to pay at the door, the cost will be $50 a person. If you are interested in sponsoring this event, you will help us keep the cost low so everyone can enjoy the evening. For a $250 sponsorship, you will get 4 reserved tickets at a prime location and your name in the commemorative program. A $500 sponsorship gets you a reserved table for 8 at a prime location, your name in the program, and an Obama baseball cap for all your guests. A $1,000 sponsorship will include the table for 8, the baseball cap for each of your guests, and a specially prepared gift sack of Obama memorabilia for all your guests. Because of printing obligations, all sponsorships must be reserved by January 10th.

We are excited about this historic evening. We want to spend it with friends and people we know worked hard for this election. We hope to see you and celebrate in style!
