Early voting is complete in Texas! Over one-half of Fort Bend County voters have already cast their votes! As of the end of voting on Friday, October 31st, 2008; 7,461 mail-in ballots and 148,448 in-person early voting ballots had been cast in Fort Bend county. This is a total of 155,909 votes or 51.8% of registered voters!

[NOTE: As of Friday, October 31st There are 300,715 registered voters in Fort Bend County and "a handful" of voter registration cards yet to be processed.]

As of the end of voting on Monday, October 27th, 2008; 6,200 mail-in ballots and 88,896 in-person early voting ballots had been cast. This is a total of 95,096 votes or 31.7%* of registered voters in the county.

The final totals are gonna blow the doors off if history is any indication. We still have thru Friday to early vote. 40% turnout it is entirely doable by then I think. It looks to me like 70% turnout when all's said and done isn't out of the question, possibly more...pretty amazing.
