How Many Gun Dealers are there in Texas?
There are 58,344 federally licensed gun dealers in the United States and 9% (5,189) are in Texas. That’s over three times as many gun dealers than post offices and four times more gun dealers than McDonald's.
The gun lobby claims that conducting background checks for all gun sales would be "inconvenient." But under the Senate background checks bill, a gun buyer and seller can just meet at a licensed dealer who would perform the background check.
