Demographic projections taken from Texas State Data Center's 2008 population projections

  • By 2030 the Texas Population will rise by 30%.
  • Latinos and African Americans will make up 53% of the Texas electorate.
  • Younger + More Diverse = More Tolerant Voters
  • Voters who support:
    • Women
    • LGBT Community Members
    • People with Disabilities
    • Children
    • Labor
    • Senior Citizens
    • People of Color
    • Educators
  • At the same time, Republicans move FURTHER RIGHT.

Based on Demographics alone - If we do nothing, by 2030 Texas will have more Democratic Voters than Republican

  • Latinos are Central to turning Texas from Red to Blue.
  • Every month in the United States we add 50,000 new Latino voters.
  • Latino voters are younger and the future of Texas Politics.
  • One-third of Latinos are under the age of 18, compared to one-fourth for non-Latinos.
  • In the 2008 election young Latinos increased their support for Democrats at a larger rate than any other group.
  • The Trend has started. The trend to vote and to Vote Democratic.
  • We can turn Texas Blue now, or wait until 2030.
  • But waiting means putting in danger: Women, LGBT Community Members, People with Disabilities, Children, Labor, Senior Citizens, People of Color & Educators
  • We can lead Texas now.
  • We have the numbers to make a difference.
  • For every $3 we spend on voter outreach we add a new voter... and close the gap.
  • With every call we move the date forward.
  • For every activist, liberation is closer.
  • PITCH IN!

Texas Democratic Party, the Next Battleground!
