Women's Health in the Elections Discussion
The Fort Bend County Young Democrats will present an evening of discussion with Planned Parenthood of Houston & Southeast Texas (PPHSET) Action Fund on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 6:30-8:00 pm at the Sienna Branch Library located at 8411 Sienna Springs Blvd., Missouri City, Texas 77459.
The event is free to the public and seating will be limited. Yvonne Gutierrez, Political Director of PPHSET Action Fund, will lead a discussion about the political attacks on women’s health and how the issue will play an important role in the upcoming elections. Opening remarks will be presented by Steve Brown - County Chairman for the Fort Bend County Democratic Party.
PPHSET Action Fund is a local nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast. The Action Fund engages in educational and electoral activity, including legislative advocacy, voter education, and grassroots organizing.
The Fort Bend Young Democrats mission is to increase young voters and provide an opportunity for future young leaders to participate in the formation of the platforms and policies of the Democratic Party at the local, state, and federal levels.
