The Real War: public relations

The retired general on television is making an impressive case. He is a "military analyst", based on his training, experience and the text-banner underneath his image on the screen. He is also likely to be one other thing: a Trojan horse for the Pentagon, briefed by the Department of Defense to get the administration's spin to the public while appearing to be a neutral observer. Click here for an audio/visual presentation of a story that appeared in the New York Times on April 20, 2008. The American public has been and continues to be the target of propaganda. What is the motivation of the "military analyst"? Those retired generals often work for defense contractors who are making a lot of money off of this war. This administration said it was trying to win a war. We just didn't know it was really trying to win the public relations war.
