Fredericka Petry files for the 400th Judicial District Court

On Thursday, December 15, 2011, Fredericka Petry filed to be the Democratic Nominee for the 400th Judicial District Court in Fort Bend County. Petry says she is committed to modernizing the courts in Fort Bend and bringing a fresh, neutral face to justice.

“Public service, law and justice have been my lifelong passions,” Petry said at her announcement. “Because the law changes lives, it is important that our judiciary be fair and neutral arbitrators. Fort Bend is one of the most diverse and fastest growing counties in the nation. With this population growth, we also have more cases being filed. We need judges who are energized to handle these case; judges who will be full-time public servants working for the citizens of Fort Bend to move these cases along efficiently and timely utilizing modern technologies.”

About Fredericka: Fredericka Petry is a native Texan, born and raised in Beaumont, Texas. She attended college at Lamar University Beaumont and received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice graduating cum laude in 1996. She moved to Houston in 1997 and attended law school at South Texas College of Law where she was a member of law review. Petry received her Juris Doctorate degree from South Texas College of Law in May 2000. She maintains a diverse litigation practice representing businesses and individuals as plaintiff and defendants in all types of matters.

Fredericka is married to Trey Petry, a Houston firefighter. They have three children and reside in Missouri City.
