Bush's War
On the fifth anniversary of the start of the Iraq War, the PBS series "Frontline" prepared the definitive retrospective. Bush's War is four hours of news video, seasoned with interviews of administration officials and journalists. You don't have to watch it all at once. Choose what you wish, watch when you can. This documentary is must-see TV for your Republican friend who is still pro-war. It answers the question, "What did the Iraq invasion have to do with catching the 9/11 terrorist Osama bin Laden?" The answer: Nothing. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/bushswar/
I know of 5 soldiers from Fort Bend County who have died in this war. Two from Sugar Land, two from Missouri City, and one from Richmond. Over 4000 soldiers have died, and Osama bin Laden is still free . . . because George W. Bush decided to invade Iraq, rather than hunt down bin Laden in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Don't let your Republican friends continue to co-mingle 9/11 and Iraq the way the President has. Osama bin Laden, who masterminded the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon was NOT in Iraq. Bush's War was an ill-conceived diversion. America's single-minded action after 9/11 should have been to capture Osama bin Laden. Today, six and a half years after 9/11, Osama bin Laden is still on the loose planning his next attack on America. May God help us all, because the Bush administration hasn't.
