47 years ago the Supreme Court decided that states didn't have the right to ban birth control. But for some reason, nearly 50 years later, some politicians actually think government SHOULD have a role in saying who can and can't use birth control. Mitt Romney is one of these politicians.

Already, 20 million women have received preventive care without a co-pay because of the health care reform law. When the health care reform law is fully implemented, women will no longer be discriminated against by insurance companies, and essential services including cancer screenings, birth control, and HIV testing and counseling will be covered with no co-pays.

When it comes to women's health, Mitt Romney can't be trusted. Yesterday, he made this point crystal clear. In an interview with KSDK St. Louis in Missouri, Romney was asked what programs would he eliminate or defund to reduce the federal deficit. His response: "Planned Parenthood, we're going to get rid of that."
