Hello everybody, It's fair to say that there's been a bit of talk of women and women's issues so far this year. And I've said before, I want to repeat, I think it's been oversimplified, women are not an interest group. Women shouldn't be treated that way. Women are half this country and half of its workforce.

It's fair to say that there's been a bit of talk of women and women's issues so far this year. And I've said before, I want to repeat, I think it's been oversimplified, women are not an interest group. Women shouldn't be treated that way. Women are half this country and half of its workforce. Your 80% of my household if you count my mother-in-law and I always count my mother-in-law. So I got a vested interest in making sure we do well.

 Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, supports President Obama because he believes in women and trusts women to make responsible decisions. She notes the strong contrast between the positions of President Obama and the Republican party leadership who seem to want to put government in between women and their doctors.

Dear President Obama,

I'm a mother of two young daughters: Daisy is six and Caroline is almost ten. My six-year-old would like to be a doctor for dolphins and my ten-year-old dreams of becoming a jet fighter pilot.

Caroline is so committed to her dream that she sets her alarm at 5:00 every morning so she'll be prepared for her military service.

I love that my daughters dream so big and see no limits to their future. Watching their dreams unfold everyday is one of the unique pleasures of being a mom.

As President he is committed to protecting a woman's right to choose, rejected Republican efforts to defund Planned Parenthood, and reversed the "global gag rule" that restricted women's access to family planning services abroad.
