One of the main reasons America should re-elect President Obama is that he is still committed to cooperation. He appointed Republican secretaries of defense, the army and transportation. He appointed a vice president who ran against him in 2008, and trusted him to oversee the successful end of the war in Iraq and the implementation of the recovery act. And Joe Biden did a great job with both.

On October 11, 2009, thousands of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight people who support full equality in all 50 states marched on Washington. Many of them were part of a new generation of activists who reject the ping-pong, state-by-state fight for rights after Proposition 8 passed last year, and who are impatient with the slow gradualism of national gay rights organizations.

Reflections on Presidential Leadership
I have never been so conflicted about my choice of candidates in all the years I have been voting in presidential elections…and that's been a long time! It seems most people I talk to are also taking a little more time to choose. If you consider how many people in Iowa and New Hampshire waited until the last minute to make up their minds, it seems clear that the choice is simply a difficult one.
I've been reflecting about why that is and figured I'd share with you some of my thoughts on the matter.
